  • Meet Duggy! 🐾

Duggy is our much-loved Border Terrier at The Hyde. He belongs to Jan and Richard, who work at the school, and has been part of our community since he was a puppy. Now 10 years old, Duggy is a familiar and friendly face to both pupils and staff.

Duggy lives in a self-contained space in the upstairs corridor, where pupils and staff can stop by to say hello as they pass. As a calm, trusted and independent member of our school community, he is comfortable spending time in his own space, with staff nearby and regular interaction throughout the day.

As part of our wellbeing provision, Duggy supports pupils' sensory and emotional needs through therapeutic and positive interactions. Spending time with him can help pupils feel calm, regulated and supported. He enjoys showing off his tricks and is always happy to receive a little treat for his efforts!

Duggy is a valued member of The Hyde community and brings comfort, companionship and plenty of wagging tails to everyone he meets.
