We recognise that the children in our school will be the children who steward the planet into the future and we need to equip them with the skills and knowledge to do just that. At The Hyde School and in our Trust, our Green Curriculum is a way of teaching and learning that puts sustainability and the environment at the heart of the curriculum. You can find out more about our Green Curriculum here.

    🌍 Our Green Curriculum Pledge

At our school, we are committed to caring for our environment and building a more sustainable future.

    Our Aims:

🌱 To reduce food waste across our school
Supporting the TEFAT Trust-wide aim, we will encourage mindful eating, reduce waste at lunchtime, and promote responsible food habits.

🌿 To develop green spaces within our setting
We will create and maintain areas for growing herbs and vegetables, helping our pupils learn about nature, sustainability, and healthy living.

🗑️ To reduce litter around our school
Through regular litter picking and promoting pride in our environment, we will keep our school clean and welcoming for everyone.

Together, we pledge to take small actions that make a big difference for our school, our community, and our planet.
