EYFS Curriculum

The start of our children’s journey at our school is so important. Children develop quickly in the Early Years and to ensure that we have a varied and rich curriculum, we follow the children's interests and use key quality texts as a driver for learning. Through continuous provision, we offer multi-layered learning opportunities to develop children's skills and knowledge across all areas of learning. Learning is evaluated daily and, from these evaluations, the team plan for next steps. This ensures that planning is purposeful and meets individual children's needs.

Characteristics of Effective Learning

These characteristics underpin our children’s learning and development and support them in becoming and remaining effective and motivated learners. We strive to ensure that our children will be lifelong learners by creating exciting and purposeful opportunities for them to play and explore, learn actively and create and think critically.
