The Hyde School is a two-form entry school located in Barnet, North London with a nursery. We are a vibrant, inclusive and welcoming school with an incredibly diverse community. Our families come from all over the world, speaking over fifty different languages, and we are richer for it.
We are proud to be a Flagship School for Inclusion, and at The Hyde, every child is seen, celebrated, and valued for who they are. Each one is supported and encouraged to be the very best they can be. Our strapline, High Expectations = High Outcomes, reflects our belief that all children can achieve well when given the right guidance and support.
Our school is fortunate to have lots of outdoor space, which allows children to learn, play and explore in a safe and stimulating environment. We encourage outdoor learning and physical activity as an essential part of every child’s development.
We want every member of our community, children and staff alike, to aim high. While we value academic success, we also nurture creativity and curiosity. Our children are encouraged to explore the arts, music, science, engineering and sport, discovering their talents and passions along the way. British Values, what we often call human values, are embedded in everything we do, helping our children grow into thoughtful, responsible and respectful individuals.
Our pupils are empowered to speak up and share their views. Their voices are valued and make a real difference in our school community. We aim for all our children to leave The Hyde as confident, kind and resilient young people, with a strong sense of self-worth and the tools to thrive in an ever-changing world.
We know that children achieve their best when school and home work together. Our parent community plays a vital role in supporting our children and our school. We value the partnership we have with families and encourage parents to be actively involved in school life, sharing their views and contributing to our community.
If you would like to visit The Hyde School, we would be delighted to welcome you and show you around our school community.
