NHS Guidance for Parents

At The Hyde School, we follow the NHS guidance to help parents decide whether a child is well enough to attend school. This ensures the safety and wellbeing of all pupils. Children with mild coughs, colds, or other minor illnesses may still attend school if they feel well enough, but children with a high temperature, vomiting, diarrhoea, or infectious diseases should remain at home until fully recovered.

Parents are asked to contact the school on the first day of absence to report the reason. For more detailed guidance, please visit the NHS website: Is my child too ill for school?
