If your child was born between 1 September 2014 and 31 August 2015, you will need to apply for their transfer to secondary school in September in 2026.

Key dates 

• 1 September 2026 - start of application process

• 15 January 2027 - closing date for on-time applications

• 16 April 2027 - Primary National Offer Day

• 30 April 2027 - deadline for acceptance school offers

Late Applications

Applications received after 15 January 2027 will be treated as late.

This means your child may not get a place at a junior school.
